FAQ
1. Does UMix require a long-term contract or commitment?
No. UMix is proudly Contract-Free. Our commitment is to performance, not paperwork. You select either a flexible month-to-month service or a prepaid annual option that offers additional savings. We guarantee you will never be locked into a multi-year term, and your renewal is based purely on satisfaction.
2: Are there any hidden fees for support, maintenance, or new features?
Absolutely not. Our goal is to provide Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) predictability. Your clear, tier-free subscription guarantees a single, transparent rate that includes all licensing, support, maintenance, and platform feature upgrades. We do not charge for customer support, content updates, or access to your dedicated account manager.
3. What are the typical termination or cancellation procedures?
Our termination process is as simple as our onboarding. You can cancel service at any time. Your only commitment is the period through which you have paid in advance. That’s because of our calculations and commitments to properly make royalty payments. There are no penalty fees, no complex exit clauses, and no multi-month notification requirements. For maximum simplicity, you can simply notify us via a support ticket, or just don’t pay your subscription invoice. Your access will remain active until the end of your prepaid billing cycle, guaranteeing you full value for what you have already paid.
4. Is the music library fully licensed for commercial use?
Yes, definitively. UMix ensures full legal compliance for your business. We secure and pay all necessary rights for every track in our library – both Major Label and Indie. This means you eliminate the risk of fines and the administrative complexity of managing separate music licenses.
5. Who owns the content created for Digital Signage?
The client retains 100% ownership and creative control over all custom content, scheduling, and brand assets created and uploaded to the UMix platform. Our role is solely to provide the centralized platform for secure, reliable deployment and enforcement of those assets.
6. How does the UMix platform empower us to enforce our specific brand standards for music and signage content?
Absolute control is your guarantee. The centralized UMix dashboard provides your team with the tools to preview, approve, and schedule all music and signage content. You maintain the master controls, allowing you to instantly substitute or remove any content to ensure 100% brand alignment and compliance across every one of your multi-location sites.
7. How is service continuity guaranteed if a location loses internet access or power?
If the Internet connection is lost, reliability is guaranteed via our proprietary, local failover mechanism. The UMix player, which runs on the highly reliable Android OS, stores a large cache of approved content locally. Music playback continues uninterrupted using this locally cached and stored library. Content updates resume automatically the moment the connection is restored, ensuring zero downtime and continuous brand alignment. If power is lost, the player will automatically reboot within a minute or two after power is restored; there is no power button to press.
8. What hardware is required to run the UMix platform?
Our solution requires only a single, low-cost proprietary media player per location—either the music player or signage stick—or both if you use both products. Each is compact, utilizes the reliable Android OS, and requires minimal power. The Music Player connects directly to your existing amplifier (for music), and the Signage Stick connects to your TV via standard HDMI, resulting in minimal installation complexity and the lowest possible Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
9. How is multi-location content deployment managed and monitored?
All deployment is controlled from your single, cloud-based centralized dashboard. You can instantly push content updates, schedule regional playlists, and implement global campaigns with a single click, eliminating manual updates and inconsistency. Furthermore, the dashboard provides real-time remote device monitoring, giving your operations team instant visibility into the live status (online/offline, content playback, health) of every player across your entire network.
